America’s Finest Hour

A Prophetic Word to America ~ January 2009

For the Lord says, “Many in this nation have failed to seek first My kingdom and My righteousness, and are now facing the crisis of their lives. For I have allowed the winds of economic hardship to blow at gale force upon America, causing many called by My name to shake and faint in this day of adversity. For many have been deceived into seeking only My hand and not My face, failing to establish My Kingdom in favor of building their own. Having pursued the wealth of this present evil world, many have forfeited the riches of My glorious kingdom, and have built their lives on the sinking sand of stocks and bonds instead of the rock of My word.”

For the Lord says, “Cry aloud to Me and I will impart to you the fear of the Lord, that you might unlock and open the door of intimacy with Me. For only in My presence will I grant you the riches of heavenly wisdom that have been tried in the fire and are more precious than gold. Only in My presence will the shame of your nakedness be revealed. Therefore, humble yourself at My feet and I will grant you repentance to acknowledge your complacency and corruption. For truly I desire to clothe My people not only with the garment of salvation, but also with the robe of righteousness, that they might represent Me as My ambassadors to a lost and dying world. Indeed, the harvest is plentiful, yet the laborers are few and the time short.”

For the Lord says, “Seek My face, for only in My presence can I apply My eye salve that you might see. For lack of vision has caused many to exchange My dream for their lives for “The American Dream”. Being blind, many have pursued happiness instead of holiness, and have settled for serving the idol of mammon instead of Me. Having neither foresight nor insight, many have unwittingly forfeited divine purpose in favor of a quest for passing pleasures. Seek My face and I will remove your blinders, and recover your sight. For now is the appointed time for My vision for this nation to be fulfilled through My servants.”

For the Lord says, “I am shaking America to its very core, causing “The American Dream” to fade from the hearts of many. The pursuit of happiness has brought America to a dead end. Disappointment has caused many to sink into a quagmire of depression and despair. Instead of enduring hardness as a good soldier, many have abandoned not only the ranks of My army, but also their faith in Me. Others have placed their faith in the promises of heralded and esteemed men, but soon will be disappointed, for only I can deliver America in the day of adversity. For through much tribulation you will not only enter My kingdom, but expand it for My glory.”

“So arise and shine, My people, and allow the light of the knowledge of My glory found only in My face to cover your face. Seek Me in the secret place, and I will by My Spirit transform you into My image, that My glory may arise over you. For though deep darkness will cover this nation, the light of My glory shall be seen on a righteous remnant, causing kings and commoners alike to come to the brightness of your rising. For I have ordained this season to be known as America’s finest hour, not its final hour”, says the Lord.
